Mhe ability to see is the most coveted amongst the five senses. Yet, most people are not aware of the basic care they need to take to insure a lifetime of good eyesight.

The minimum need, usually ignored, is for regular eye tests - at least once in two years. With age, the possiblity of beng afflicted by glucoma or AMD, (age-related macular degeneration), increases.

A good reason why you should get an eye-test done is that good eyesight, by itself, does not guarantee that nothing can go wrong with your eyes. Only an optometrist can detect early symptoms of some eye ailments.

Though cataract and glaucoma are better known, people above 60are actually most at risk of losing vision on account of AMD. All the more reason for seeing an eye-specialist regularly…

Several things about eyes, readily believed by people around the world, are actually myths. These include the beliefs that wearing someone else's glasses, or watching TV from close proximity, can damage your eyes. Holding books up close while reading them won't damage your eyes, either.

If you solve Sudoku using a pencil, hold the pencil about three inches from your eyes and concentrate on its tip while moving it away, to an arm's length, and back. Done regularly, this can improve your eyesight.
So, the next time someone tells you Sudoku is good for your eyesight, just believe them!!!
